No, this isn’t a new sport or the latest video game. A Walk Score is a very handy tool that allows you to evaluate your home’s walking distance to several amenities.
Every property on Centris.ca is assigned a Walk Score based on its distance to services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, restaurants, bike paths, etc. The closer these services are to a home, the higher the property’s Walk Score. You can also find the Transit Score (proximity to public transit) and Bike Score (ease with which cyclists can get around) for any given address.
For buyers who are looking for an ideal property, knowledge of this data may be a decisive element in determining whether the purchase of a car is necessary, or if a second car will be required in the suburbs in order to run errands and get around on a daily basis.
